Introduction:

Euphemism means:

A softer, more polite or less direct way to say something unpleasant, embarrassing, rude or sensitive. It is a “gentler expression”.

Instead of saying something too direct, we use a nicer or softer phrase.

Being Fired
Direct: Fired

➡️He was fired last week.

Euphemism: let go; no longer with the company

➡️He was let go last week.

➡️She is no longer with the company.
