Need to mention something briefly during a conversation?
Use “touch on.”

Meaning:

To talk about or mention something briefly.
(意味:〜について軽く触れる / 簡単に話す)

Examples:

We touched on that topic during the meeting.
(会議でその話題に少し触れました。)

The teacher touched on grammar before starting the lesson.
(先生は授業を始める前に文法に軽く触れました。)

I’d like to touch on one important point.
(重要な点を一つだけ触れておきたいです。)

Tip

You don’t need to explain everything in detail.
Sometimes it’s enough to just touch on it!
